More than 100 exporting companies currently operate in the Karaganda region. These companies supply products to 40 countries, including Russia, Uzbekistan, China, Turkey, the UAE, and others. This year, export volumes have grown by almost a third, exceeding $1 billion.
Government support facilitates the development of international economic ties. Karaganda industrialists work closely with the Export Credit Agency of Kazakhstan (ECA). The region ranks first in the national institute's portfolio.
A good example is Kazcentrelectroprovod (KCEP) in Saran. With over 30 years of history, the company has entered the European market and exported optical fiber cable.
— The geography of our supplies covers near and far abroad. We entered the European market - Germany, Denmark, Austria. Like any manufacturing enterprise and exporter, we need government support. We have been working with the Export Credit Agency since 2025. It gives us finance at a reduced rate. This is very important for development, expansion of production and export volumes. Having long-term and inexpensive money, we can compete in European markets,” said KCEP General Director Sergei Kim.
The company also took advantage of insurance for export contracts. This tool reduces risks when working with foreign partners.
The company is also represented on the international online platform “Exporter Showcase - Buy from Kazakhstan”. This is necessary to promote products and find new points of sale.
The plant produces up to 200 km of optical cable per day. This is enough to almost completely cover the route from Saran to the capital, Astana.
Fiber optic production is a complex technological process. Beginning with stranding, the cable passes through several workshops, including painting. The final stage is the application of an armored sheath. The equipment is modern and constantly updated.
The company employs 250 people and has its own training center for personnel training.
