Open Day Held on the Occasion of Knowledge Day

On September 1, Knowledge Day, the S. Seifullin Central Library of the Zhetisu Region held an Open Day entitled “The Beginning of Knowledge is a Book, the Home of Knowledge is a Library.”

The main purpose of the event was to increase young people’s interest in reading, introduce visitors to the library’s services, and promote the library as an important center for knowledge and spiritual development.

School students from Taldykorgan and first-year college students took part in the Open Day. Special book exhibitions featuring motivational and psychological literature, as well as children’s books, were organized for visitors. During the event, participants were introduced to the books and their content and received recommendations for further reading.

In addition, guided tours of the library were organized for the guests. Participants had an opportunity to explore the library’s collection, reading halls, and modern facilities. They also learned more about the library’s activities and were able to choose books of interest to them.

Around 100 visitors took part in the Open Day. During the event, more than 60 new readers registered with the library and gained access to its book collection.

The Open Day held on the occasion of Knowledge Day became one of the important initiatives aimed at increasing young people’s interest in the library and promoting a culture of reading.
