Construction of the "Burabay-Zhalgyzagash" mining and processing plant by "Liaoning Hongda Group" has officially begun in the village of Shalkiya, Zhanakorgan district. The event was attended by the akim of the region, Murat Ergeshbayev, and the General Director of "Liaoning Hongda Group," Tang Jiugang.
At the ceremony, the head of the region congratulated the residents of the district and noted that the new production will give a new impetus to the region's economy.
"The start of the plant's construction is a historic event for our region. This is a new impetus for the industrial development of our region, a major investment project providing broad opportunities for economic diversification and the creation of new jobs.
I express my deep gratitude to 'Liaoning Hongda Group' for implementing such a large-scale and modern project in our region.
The Head of State, Kassym-Jomart Kemeluly, has instructed to transition the country to a new investment cycle, launch modern production facilities, and effectively utilize the economic potential of the regions.
Today's mining and processing plant is a crucial part of this large-scale work. Upon the full launch of the project, for which 138 billion tenge is allocated for construction, it is planned to annually produce 210 thousand tons of lead-zinc raw material and 20 tons of silver. Most importantly, more than 550 new jobs will be created.

The mining and processing plant is planned to be built within the next two years and fully completed in 2028.
Currently, drilling operations are underway to expand the mineral resource base of the deposit. Construction of production roads has also begun, and construction sites have been identified. In addition, design and estimate documentation for connection to electrical networks has been developed. Currently, providing the facility with electricity and connecting to power grids is planned.
It should be noted that in recent years, the foundation for new production facilities has been laid in our region, and major projects are being implemented. In the Zhanakorgan district, 9 investment projects worth over 6.7 billion tenge have been implemented over three years. This year, 3 projects are planned, two of which are already serving the people. In the next three years, it is planned to implement 48 investment projects worth 1.9 trillion tenge in the industrial sector of the region. As a result, more than 10 thousand new jobs will be created.
