Progress of Socio-Economic Projects Reviewed in Kegen District

 

On August 27, as part of the working visit of Marat Sultangaziyev, Akim of Almaty Region, Bolatzhan Saimasaiuly Nurbekov, Acting Chairman of the Almaty Regional Maslikhat, visited Kegen District, where he reviewed the region’s socio-economic development and the progress of several ongoing projects.

During the working visit, the reconstruction of 12 wells aimed at providing water to pastures in the Kopaly area of the Zhalagash rural district was reviewed. The project is designed to provide water to 3,800 hectares of pastureland.

The delegation also visited the “Auyl Kutkarushylary” fire station in the village of Algabas. The discussion focused on ensuring the safety of settlements and responding promptly to emergencies.

In addition, the progress of construction of small hydropower plants being developed as part of investment projects was reviewed. The Kegen Hudro project is valued at 7.2 billion tenge and has a capacity of 4.5 MW, while the OsirisEnergo project is valued at 11.23 billion tenge and has a capacity of 10.01 MW.

The visit also included an inspection of the construction of a 50-seat primary school in the village of Algabas. The educational facility will include five classrooms, a sports hall, an assembly hall, a library, a medical room, a cafeteria, and a playroom.

The delegation also reviewed the construction of housing for families from socially vulnerable groups and held a personal reception for district residents.

The working visit concluded with a reporting meeting with residents of Kegen District. During the meeting, information was presented on the district’s socio-economic development, residents’ questions and suggestions were heard, and relevant responses were provided.
